Nanograss
is a relativeley new development by Lucent Technology's
Bell Labs described as an nanoscale
engineered surface containing billions
of nanoscale
silicon posts, and which is being used to study the effectiveness of
transferring heat
from silicon surfaces to liquid coolants. Among applications
this development may be used for include circuitry,
batteries, (see mphase Technologies, Inc.), heat
sinks, liquid lenses and liquid photonics.
